  • Condition the leather sparingly, only when its dry. Use a neutral leather balm and always test on a hidden area first.
HAIRCALF

Haircalf leather is a natural material with fine hair intact on the surface, valued for its tactile depth and expressive character.
It should be protected from moisture, oils, and friction and kept away from abrasive or dark surfaces that may disturb or transfer onto the hair.
If dust appears, it can be gently brushed in the direction of the hair with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Creams or conditioners should not be applied to the hair surface. When not in use, store in a dust bag in a dry, ventilated space, avoiding pressure that may flatten the hair. Natural variation and subtle changes with wear are inherent to this leather and part of its evolution over time.

ANILINE LEATHER

Aniline leather is lightly finished to preserve the natural grain, resulting in a soft, breathable surface that develops patina with use.
It should be protected from water, oils, cosmetics, and prolonged sunlight and wiped gently with a soft, dry cloth as needed.
A small amount of neutral conditioner suitable for aniline leather may be used occasionally, always tested first on an inconspicuous area. When not in use, store in a dust bag in a cool, dry place and maintain shape with light stuffing. Variations in tone, texture, and gentle marks from wear or contact are natural characteristics of authentic aniline leather and reflect its aging process.

NAPPA LEATHER
Soft, smooth, and natural-grain leather with minimal surface treatment. Keep away from rough surfaces, nappa can scratch easily. Handle with clean hand to avoid transferring oils. Do not over-condition, once or twice per year is usually enough. Avoid bulky stuffing that stretches the soft leather, fill gently to help retain shape.
CROCO-EMBOSSED COW LEATHER
Durable cowhide with a sculpted, reptile-textured finish. Clean using a soft cloth, dry or lightly damp. Use a soft-bristle brush to reach into textured grooves. Avoid wax-based conditioners that may dull the embossed pattern. Keep it away from abrasive surfaces that could flatten the embossing.
SHEEPSKIN SUEDE
Delicate, velvety texture with a naturally matte, absorbent surface. Keep away from moisture and ink, suede absorbs quickly. Gently brush using a soft brush to remove surface dust. Do not place makeup, pens or sharp objects directly inside the bag. If stained, see professional cleaning. Do not use water or detergent.

RECOMMENDED CARE

To maintain the beauty of your Studio Dua bag, we recommend using gentle, pH-balanced leather care products such as Chamberlain’s Leather Milk or Lexol for cleaning and conditioning, and a soft suede brush or eraser (e.g. Jason Markk or Kiwi) for suede care. For light maintenance, a clean toothbrush and dry cloth work perfectly.

WHAT TO EXCPECT OVER TIME

Natural leather is a living material, it changes with use, exposure, and time. You may notice subtle shifts in color, a softening of the surface, or small marks from daily wear. These changes are not flaws, they’re a reflection of your personal journey.

With proper care, the leather will develop a rich, smooth patina that enhances its character and tells a story that’s uniquely yours. No two bags will age the same. That’s part of what makes it special.
